High sun parhelic circle imaged in May '05 from Savigny le Temple, a Parisian suburb, by Patrick Sogorb (site).

The coloured arcs around the sun are a combination of a 22° halo and a circumscribed arc.

Contrast this parhelic circle with its appearance at lower sun.

A fisheye lens was used and camera is pointing almost straight upwards.
