An upper Lowitz arc is apparent close to the upper tangent and Parry arcs and near to the right-hand sundog. Other images of the display also show the arc.

The HaloSim4 simuation using classically oriented Lowitz plate crystals shows relatively strong arcs near to the parhelia. It is possible that this is a case (Riikonen et.al.) where the display was made by Lowitz oriented columns with limited tilts of their long ''c' axes from horizontal. Such crystals are not dissimilar to Parry crystals with large tilts.
