Cirrus
fragments lit by a circumhorizon arc, Halifax, Nova Scotia.
Imaged
by Daniel Dupuis on 3rd July 2001 with the sun 66° high.
The CHA is so large that it often fills cirrus clouds with
its bright colours. This close up shows well the high spectral
purity of the colours.
